The Mental Health and Wellbeing Services team are committed to supporting staff wellbeing in a dynamic, busy environment and support professional development through partnerships with external training providers.
To be successful for the following roles, you will have:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
- Completed a post graduate qualification in mental health nursing
- A minimum of 12 months mental health experience in a mental health clinical setting
- Demonstrated understanding of working with mental health consumers, including appropriate supports, therapeutic engagement, assessment and evidence-based interventions
- Sound knowledge of the Mental Health Act 2022
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work a 7 day a week rotating roster (AM, PM & Nights)
- Possess excellent clinical skills

The Western Inpatient Psychiatric Unit (WIPU) are looking for RPNs who are passionate about women’s health. The new WIPU is a dedicated women’s-only adult acute inpatient unit based at
Footscray, offering women who are experiencing severe mental ill health a trauma-informed and recovery-focused individually tailored experience to care.
Our RPNs are an integral part of the multidisciplinary team, requiring to fulfil the roles and responsibilities of a division 1 registered nurse whilst demonstrating advanced knowledge and skills in mental health.

Additional Essential Criteria:
- Must be able to commit to a minimum of 5 shifts per fortnight
- Willing to work across the different Western Health campuses
$67,527.20 - $95,378.40 based on experience per the 'Victorian Public Mental Health Services Enterprise Agreement 2020 - 2024’ (Victorian Public Mental Health Services).
