We provide comprehensive health care to approximately one million people in Melbourne’s rapidly growing western region. Our community stretches from Maribyrnong to Melton and from Williamstown to Wyndham.

The Western Health network includes tertiary hospitals at Footscray and Sunshine, secondary hospitals at Williamstown and Sunbury, and many community-based services.

We have a strong focus on junior doctor education with a dedicated weekly intern and HMO education program, simulation and workshops for junior doctors, hospital grand rounds and a broad range of unit-specific education sessions.

The Western Centre for Health Research and Education (WCHRE) at the Sunshine Hospital campus is a purpose-built teaching and research facility, including a state-of-the-art Simulation Centre.
