About the Role:

Are you passionate about supporting individuals on their journey to recovery? We’re looking for a dedicated AOD Peer Support Worker to join our team and make a real impact in the lives of those seeking help for substance use and mental health challenges.

As an AOD Peer Support Worker, you’ll be an integral part of the Western Health Drug Health Services team, contributing positively to the recovery of individuals accessing our services. Your role will be crucial in providing valuable support to individuals navigating their recovery journey, offering encouragement, understanding, and guidance.

 

Where You'll Work:

This role is primarily based at Westside Lodge Dual Diagnosis Rehabilitation Centre, a 30-bed residential service for adults 18+ who are seeking a safe, supportive environment to recover from mental health and substance use issues. While you'll be primarily based at Westside Lodge,there is scope for the successful applicant to provide support to clients across other areas of Drug Health Services, including:

  • Adult and Adolescent Community Residential Withdrawal Units
  • The Mental Health and AOD Hub at Sunshine Hospital Emergency Department
  • The Mental Health and AOD Outreach Service team
