Bed Coordinator/Clinical Hospital Coordinator

About the role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated clinical leader who thrives on keeping a hospital running smoothly, to join our Access Team at Western Health.
Key responsibilities:
- As part of the Hospital Coordinator team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient management of the hospital site, services, and resources after hours, weekends and public holidays. You will act as an organizational resource and the site incident commander for critical incidents. As a senior nursing leader, you will act as a mentor and role model for all staff.
- As part of the Bed Coordinator team, you will be responsive to the Access demand across all sites, facilitating patient flow and the monitoring and escalation of organisational performance.
- You will be responsible for the timely allocation and ensuring patient flow from all WH emergency departments as well as managing all non-emergency, including intercampus and interhospital inpatient admissions.
- The Bed Coordinator provides leadership in coordinating patient flow, assessing critical situations, initiating solutions, and activating emergency contingency plans in conjunction with the Operations Manager, Access and Patient Flow and the Clinical Hospital Coordinators.

- Need to be passionate and committed to high quality patient centred care.
- Have a proven track record of effective leadership and management in health services.
- Need to be an experienced clinical leader with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Need to be highly accountable and demonstrate a strong, supportive, and engaging leadership style.
- Have effective relationship management.
