About the role
Western Health's Cardiac Diagnostic Service is seeking an experienced and passionate Cardiac Physiologist/Sonographer to join our dynamic team. Based across Footscray and Sunshine Hospitals, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality echocardiography services to support inpatient and outpatient care. With the upcoming expansion of services to the New Footscray Hospital, this is an exciting time to make a meaningful impact within a growing and innovative service.
Key responsibilities:
- Support the delivery of inpatient and outpatient diagnostic services across multiple sites.
- Participate in the after-hours echo on-call roster.
- Provide leadership, mentoring and supervision to junior staff.
- Contribute to continuous service improvement initiatives.
About you:
- Postgraduate qualification in Cardiac Ultrasound with registration through ASAR.
- Proven expertise and achievement in delivering expert clinical services.
- Highly developed interpersonal, organisational, and time management skills.
- A collaborative approach with a passion for delivering high-quality, patient-centred care.
- Ability to mentor and support a high-performing team.
- Advanced clinical knowledge, competency and clinical expertise.

We also operate Sunbury Community Hospital, Sunshine Mental Health and Wellbeing Centre, Melton Health and Community Services, Bacchus Marsh Community Health Centre, Caroline Springs Community Health Centre and Grant Lodge Residential Aged Care in Bacchus Marsh. Western Health also provides the primary healthcare service at the Dame Phyllis Frost Centre, a women’s prison located in Ravenhall.
