The Western Health Cardiac Diagnostic Service is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Cardiac Physiologist. This is a cardiac rhythm focused position, grade 2-3 position depending on experience and qualifications.

 

The successful applicant with have proven expertise and specialist knowledge relevant to the role.

 

Cardiac Services are located across both Footscray and Sunshine Hospitals.  Each site has a Cardiac Care Unit and Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratories providing a 24/7 acute infarct angioplasty service. The Cardiac Diagnostic Service is based at Sunshine and supports, inpatient and outpatient services and cardiac specialist outpatient clinics across site.

The service is seeking Cardiac Physiologists experience in CIED follow up +/-Electrophysiology, with demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge, competency and clinical expertise.

 

To be Successful in this Role, you will have:

  • Demonstrated achievement in provision of expert clinical service in area of expertise
  • Highly developed interpersonal, organisation and time management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to responsibly support and supervise other staff to ensure effective service provision/program delivery
  • Ability to participate in cardiac catheterisation Cardiac Physiologist on call roster
  • Current post graduate qualifications in Cardiac Rhythm Management from CEPIA/IBHRE are desired, or near term plans to complete these

Duties

The successful applicant will have sound knowledge and ability to perform in all technical aspects of cardiac rhythm related service modalities including electrocardiography (ECG), ambulatory ECG and blood pressure monitoring, cardiac catheterisation laboratory monitoring and device interrogation. with skills to support staff development within these modalities.
