About the Role:

We are seeking enthusiastic Physiotherapists to join our acute inpatient team in a Grade 2 Casual capacity to work weekdays at Sunshine and Footscray campuses to support our winter clinical demand. There may also be opportunities for weekend work.

 

Working with us, you will use your acute physiotherapy skills and discharge planning expertise to deliver Best Care to a variety of acute and complex client cohorts, including the clinical areas of Cardiorespiratory, Neurological, General Medicine, Aged Care. You will use your experience in the management of acute respiratory patients and clinically deteriorating patients and support junior staff to develop these clinical skills.

Our inpatient teams have a strong focus on patient-centred and holistic care combined with evidence-based practice to achieve excellent patient outcomes.

 

A comprehensive orientation will be provided to the role with access to training and development resources as well as access to our Physiotherapy and Allied Health professional development program.

About You:

To be Successful in this Role, you will:

  • Have well developed clinical skills for working with acute, cardiorespiratory and complex care patient cohorts in the hospital setting
  • Have experience in training and supporting Grade 1 physiotherapists and providing clinical leadership
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with the Physiotherapy and Multidisciplinary teams
  • Ensure safe and high-quality patient care is delivered in line with Western Health values and Live Best Care framework
  • Contribute to a culture that values ongoing learning and be part of a positive workplace
