About the role 

The Neurology & Stroke department have an exciting opportunity for a permanent Clinical Nurse Consultant role. The position is permanent part time working 32 hours per fortnight. Hours are rostered Monday to Friday between 08:00am - 4:30pm. 

 

The role will work collaboratively with the Stroke & Neurology medical and nursing team and provide expert support to our patients for all components of their care. The successful applicant must be able to balance working well within a team, as well as working autonomously.

 

Key responsibilities: 

  • Supervision, management and implementation of Stroke and Neurology Services at Western Health 
  • Provide expert and evidence based direction 
  • Ensure provision of high quality nursing care to consumers on day to day basis 
  • Provide advice and support multidisciplinary team 

 

About you: 

  • Current AHPRA registration
  • Completed or be working towards a Post Graduate Diploma in area of specialty
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a senior clinical role (CNS or above)
  • Demonstrated experience working effectively independently and also within a multidisciplinary team environment with minimal supervision.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
