Clinical Nurse Consultant

About the role:
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Clinical Nurse Consultant to join the leadership team of Unit 3 at the Sunshine Mental Health and Wellbeing Centre. This is an exciting opportunity to support the delivery of high-quality, trauma-informed, and recovery-oriented care within our state-of-the-art facility.
As a pivotal member of the team, the CNC will work closely with the Nurse Unit Manager, Clinical Nurse Educator, and Lead Consultant Psychiatrist to support staff development, provide expert clinical consultancy, and lead quality and safety initiatives. The role will focus on promoting best practice in mental health nursing, supporting vulnerable and high-risk consumers, and mentoring the nursing workforce to achieve excellence in care.
Key responsibilities:
- Providing expert clinical guidance and consultation.
- Leading education, supervision, and staff development initiatives.
- Supporting quality improvement projects and clinical audits.
- Promoting and implementing trauma-informed and recovery-oriented frameworks.
- Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team and lived experience workforce.
About you:
- You are a Division 1 Registered Nurse with postgraduate qualifications in mental health nursing.
- You bring substantial clinical experience and a strong understanding of contemporary mental health nursing.
- You are passionate about workforce development and have experience in education, clinical supervision, and service improvement.
- You are motivated, collaborative, and committed to the delivery of Best Care.
