About the role

Are you passionate about shaping the future of nursing? Western Health is seeking a dedicated Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) to join our dynamic Education team. In this pivotal role, you will provide clinical facilitation, education, and mentorship to nursing staff, transition-to-practice nurses, and undergraduate students. Key responsibilities:

  • Lead and support nursing staff in delivering evidence-based, culturally sensitive care.
  • Develop and implement tailored teaching plans and clinical education sessions.
  • Act as a mentor and clinical resource across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Facilitate Study Days, orientation programs, and continuing education initiatives.
  • Contribute to policy development, performance management, and program recruitment.

 

 

About you:

  • Qualified and Experienced: Registered Nurse in Australia with a Bachelor of Nursing and postgraduate qualifications in a relevant area (e.g., CCU/ICU), plus at least five years of acute care experience.
  • Clinically Skilled and Knowledgeable: Advanced clinical knowledge, recent acute clinical skills, and a strong understanding of current issues in nursing practice.
  • Educator and Communicator: Experience in nursing education and training delivery, with excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Collaborative and innovative: Able to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams, with proficiency in ICT systems and a flexible, innovative approach to change and improvement.
