Western Health is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Clinical Psychologist (Grade 2) to join the Mental Health and AOD (MHAOD) Outreach Service on a part-time basis (0.6 FTE).

 

The MHAOD Outreach Service is a multidisciplinary team that provides coordinated follow up support for up to six weeks to consumers who present to the Sunshine Hospital Emergency Department with mental health and/or AOD care needs. The service provides short term support and intervention, including connection and handover to community services, in order to reduce the likelihood of a future emergency department presentation.

 

The role of Clinical Psychologists within the team is to provide psychological assessment and interventions to consumers accessing the program.

 

To be Successful in this Role you will:

  • Possess a Master's level degree or above in Clinical Psychology.
  • Hold current general registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA.
  • Hold an Area of Practice Endorsement in Clinical Psychology, or undertaking a Board approved supervision program towards Endorsement.
  • Have demonstrated clinical competence in the field of adult Clinical Psychology.
  • Hold a current Victorian Driver’s Licence.
