An exciting opportunity exists within the Centre for Education at Western Health (Sunshine Hospital) for a motivated and enthusiastic Registered Nurse to permanently join the Clinical Education team part-time, 64 hours/fortnight, Monday – Friday, in the Clinical Support Nurse role. This role will work collaboratively with an aligned Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) to provide excellent bedside support to our nurses, with particular focus on program participants, for example graduate nurses. You will need to have high level clinical skills and knowledge, be friendly, approachable and work collaboratively with the CNE to maintain and constantly improve the positive clinical learning environment.

 

To be Successful in this Role you

  • Have a passion for supporting our novice nurses in developing their skills and experience
  • At least 3 years clinical experience in acute nursing
  • Be approachable and knowledgeable
  • Have experience as a preceptor or as a clinical leader
  • Be willing to work towards / be working towards a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
