About the role:

This is a great opportunity to step into a clinical leadership position, overseeing the Clozapine program and supporting safe, consistent, and recovery-oriented care in the community.

 

As the Clozapine Coordinator, you will lead the coordination and oversight of Clozapine treatment across the Outer Community Team. You’ll work closely with a multidisciplinary team and play an important role in supporting shared care arrangements with local GPs.

 

You’ll also be a go-to person for clinical guidance, education, and ensuring best practice in Clozapine monitoring and management.

 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Coordinating and monitoring all clients prescribed Clozapine across the service
  • Ensuring compliance with Clopine/CMS requirements and clinical guidelines
  • Monitoring pathology and managing clinical risk
  • Supporting and expanding shared care partnerships with GPs
  • Providing education and support to clinicians, consumers, carers, and external providers
  • Leading audits, quality improvement work, and service development
  • Working closely with the multidisciplinary team to support holistic care

 

About you:

You’re confident, organised, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. You bring strong clinical knowledge and enjoy building relationships across services.

 

You will have:

  • Registration as a Psychiatric Nurse (RPN)
  • Strong experience in community mental health
  • Knowledge of Clozapine therapy and monitoring requirements
  • Experience working with GPs and shared care models
  • Well-developed communication and leadership skills
  • A commitment to person-centred, recovery-focused care
