About the role:
The Coordinator of the Adolescent and Young Adults (AYA) Health Program is responsible for delivering high-quality individual, family, and group counselling services to adolescents, young adults, and their families. The role provides clinical leadership, service development, and integration of counselling services within Western Health. The Coordinator provides services and consultancy to a range of other organisations in the community who work with young people.
Key responsibilities:
- Clinical service delivery - provide and coordinate assessment, treatment and management of clients referred to the AYA Health Program including the delivery of individual, family and group counselling services.
- Clinical leadership and supervision - to staff and ensures performance targets and quality indicators are met.
- Program development and integration - contribute to integrating AYA and family counselling services within the organisation.
- Community liaison and networking - establish collaborative relationships with community services, schools and external agencies.
About you:
- Formal qualifications in Allied Health or Nursing.
- Clinical Practice Leadership experience in adolescents, young adult and family counselling.
- Strong knowledge of mental health issues affecting young people and evidence-based interventions.
- Excellent communication, networking and community engagement skills.
