Dietitian - Grade 1

• Location: Footscray Hospital
• Employment Type: Full-Time, Ongoing
• Salary: Grade 1 + Superannuation + Salary Packaging

About the role:

This Grade 1 Dietitian position will be based at the Footscray Hospital site at Western Health.  As a Grade 1 Dietitian, you will be working as part of a team of acute dietitians and wider multi-disciplinary team to provide care to inpatients and outpatients.  The clinical workload for this role will be predominantly general medicine, acute aged care and endocrinology.  It will also involve a component of malnutrition screening.  

There may be an expectation for you to also work in the special medicine units and/or IBD outpatient clinic and provide cover in other clinical units after further training.  You may also be required to work at other sites within Western Health. 

This role suits a dynamic team player with significant opportunities to participate in the quality and research projects and student supervision program.

Key responsibilities:

• Dietetic service provision in general medicine, aged care and endocrinology.
• Expectation to upskill and cover other clinical areas.
• Work as part of the wider MDT to support best care of patients.

About you:

• Membership, or eligibility to apply for membership, of Dietitians Australia.
• This position is ideally suited to a graduate dietitian, or a dietitian with up to 12 months of relevant clinical experience.
• You will be a team player who has excellent organisation, prioritisation and communication skills.
• You will be flexible and adaptable, able to juggle a busy workload with competing demands and work well as part of an MDT team.
