Dietitian Grade 3

About the role:
This role is applicable to a suitably experienced Dietitian and is for a 0.5 FTE permanent Grade 3 Dietitian at Sunshine Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic dietitian to join a cohesive and integrated team, committed to excellence in clinical practice, research and professional development.
Must have, or be currently eligible for, membership of Dietitians Australia.
Key responsibilities:
- This role has an inpatient caseload in ENT, Plastics and General Surgical Units
- Occasional cover to other units such as ICU and Medical Units
- Surgical lead dietitian for the site requiring staff supervision and surgical upskilling
- You will be responsible for surgical service development at Sunshine Hospital in liaison with the Western Health Grade 4 Surgical Dietitian and Manager
About you:
- Have several years of experience in managing complex surgical patients
- Well-developed leadership skills
- Highly developed communication and negotiation skills
- Competency in TPN management & nutrition support
- Competency in staff & student supervision
