About the role:
Western Health is seeking a dynamic and experienced healthcare executive to lead our Women’s & Children’s (W&C) Division. This is a pivotal leadership opportunity to drive performance, foster innovation, and ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and connected care across our Women’s & Children’s setting.
Reporting to the Deputy Chief Operating Officer, you will drive the achievement of operational, financial, and clinical performance goals, while cultivating a strong culture of continuous improvement and excellence in care.
Working in partnership with the Clinical Services Director, the Divisional Director will ensure the implementation of contemporary, multi-disciplinary models of care and the delivery of Best Care aligned to Western Health’s strategic priorities.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the Division to deliver on key quality, performance, fiscal, and operational outcomes.
- Oversee development and implementation of divisional strategic and business plans that align with organisational goals.
- Drive continuous improvement in service delivery, patient experience, and clinical outcomes across the Women’s and Children’s division.
- Support workforce capability and succession planning to maintain a high-performing, values-aligned team.
- Represent the Division in internal and external partnerships to promote integrated, person-centred care.
About you:
- Proven senior leadership experience leading a large, complex clinical operations in a healthcare setting.
- Demonstrated ability to manage clinical governance, service development, and operational performance in line with health service priorities.
- Postgraduate qualifications in management or leadership.
- Exceptional interpersonal, strategic thinking, and change management capabilities.
- A commitment to patient safety, continuous improvement, and values-based leadership.

Western Health also provides the primary healthcare service at the Dame Phyllis Frost Centre, a women’s prison located in Ravenhall.
