About the role

Western Health is seeking a passionate Grade 2 Education Pharmacist to support the teaching and training of pharmacists, pharmacy interns, students and technicians.

 

You will work within a dedicated education team to develop and build capability in a young and rapidly growing pharmacy workforce. This is a diverse role offering opportunities to be involved in staff training and development, service development and quality improvement.

 

This position is permanent, full-time (80 hours per fortnight) and available now.

 

Key responsibilities:

As an Education Pharmacist, you will:

  • Support the orientation, training and mentoring of pharmacists, pharmacy interns, students and technicians.
  • Identify and deliver training needs to build capability in the pharmacy workforce.
  • Be actively involved in developing and delivering department education programs.
  • Promote education, training, and research opportunities, supporting continuous professional development and practice advancement.

 

About you:

You are a team player with experience in clinical education and a passion for staff development. You will bring:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a clinical pharmacist across a range of clinical areas.
  • Strong understanding of different learning and supervision styles and a proven record in training and educating pharmacy staff.
  • Well-developed written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to clinical excellence and quality improvement.
