As the Employee Relations People and Culture Business Partner, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the employee experience at Western Health. You will be responsible for managing employee relations, fostering a positive workplace culture, and supporting our people through effective policies and practices. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong interpersonal skills and a deep understanding of employee relations and organisational culture.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement employee relations strategies to enhance workplace culture and employee engagement.
  • Provide expert advice and support to managers and employees on employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance management.
  • Conduct thorough investigations into employee complaints and grievances, ensuring fair and consistent application of company policies.
  • Collaborate with HR and leadership teams to design and deliver training programs that promote a positive work environment.
  • Monitor and analyse employee relations trends and metrics to identify areas for improvement and recommend proactive solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant industrial laws and regulations, keeping up to date with changes and advising on their impact.
  • Drive initiatives that support diversity, equity, and inclusion within the workplace.
  • Support organisational change initiatives by providing guidance on the people-related aspects of change management.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in employee relations, human resources, or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with employees at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Experience in developing and delivering training programs is a plus.
