About the role:

We are seeking an enthusiastic Food Services Supervisor to join our Food Services Team at Sunshine Hospital on a permanent, part-time contract (32 hours per fortnight). The successful candidate will be working closely and report to the Food Services Manager. 

 

The roster is as follows:

  • Week 1: Monday and Sunday 05:30-14:00
  • Week 2: Monday and Sunday 05:30-14:00

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Effective supervision of food service delivery.
  • Ensure safe food handling guidelines are adhered to.
  • Ensure all food service areas of operation, including fixtures, fittings and equipment, are maintained in a clean and hygienic state in accordance with departmental guidelines and procedures.
  • Ensure a commitment to quality improvement and perform quality assurance activities and reports on a daily basis as directed.

 

About you:

  • Have prior experience as a supervisor or in a leadership position in a food services environment. 
  • Be available to work weekends. 
  • Have a current Food Hygiene Certificate (Health & Community Services Food Handlers Certificate). 
  • Have good written and verbal communication skills.  
  • Strong organisation skills – ability to work independently and to plan, control, co-ordinate and manage day to day operations efficiently.
