Business Analyst

About the role:

The Digital Health Business Analyst supports the design and delivery of patient‑centred digital solutions by analysing workflows, capturing requirements, and ensuring alignment with Western Health’s digital strategy. The role bridges clinical, operational, and technical teams, producing clear documentation, leading workflow mapping, supporting testing and change activities, and driving continuous improvement. The successful applicant will be proactive, detail‑focused, and experienced in complex healthcare environments.

Key responsibilities: 

• Lead end‑to‑end business analysis activities, including workflow review and design, requirements elicitation, documentation, gap analysis, and continuous improvement of BA standards.
• Support project delivery by maintaining solution design artefacts, coordinating with vendors, facilitating testing and defect resolution, managing change requests, and ensuring compliance with Western Health policies.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships, facilitate workshops, ensure clear communication, and translate engagement strategies into actionable change, training, and communication deliverables.
• Drive change management and adoption activities, including readiness assessments, training delivery, go‑live support, and post‑implementation clinical adoption.
• Contribute to Digital Health’s strategic aims by proactively identifying improvements, supporting benefits realisation, and managing risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle.

About you: 

• Tertiary qualification in IT, Health Informatics or related field, with at least 24 months’ experience in business analysis, process mapping and testing.
• Strong analytical, critical‑thinking and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to interpret clinical implications and propose multiple solution pathways.
• Proven ability to influence and manage change, navigate conflicting stakeholder needs, and facilitate consensus across diverse groups.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong interpersonal capability and the ability to present technical concepts clearly to all audiences.
• Demonstrated experience in workflow mapping (e.g., Visio), testing processes, defect triage, and managing competing priorities under pressure.
