Surgical Outpatient Improvement Lead

• Location: Footscray Hospital (with travel across Western Health sites as required)
• Employment Type: Full-Time
• Salary: Grade 4 + Superannuation + Salary Packaging 

About the role:

An exciting opportunity exists to join the Surgery, Endoscopy and Anaesthesia Services (SEAS) Division as the Surgical Outpatient Improvement Lead. This role is responsible for leading the design, implementation and evaluation of improvement initiatives across surgical outpatient services, with a focus on improving access, referral management, clinic capacity, patient flow and patient experience. Working alongside clinicians, operational leaders and specialist clinic teams, you will drive service redesign, implement innovative models of care and support delivery of Victorian specialist clinic reform priorities across Western Health

Key responsibilities:

• Lead outpatient improvement projects across surgical specialties.
• Analyse referral, waiting list and clinic performance data to identify improvement opportunities.
• Develop and implement referral, triage and clinical pathway improvements.
• Lead implementation of agreed changes through to embedding in business-as-usual practice.

About you:

• Relevant tertiary qualification in health, business, project management or related discipline.
• Experience leading service improvement or redesign initiatives in healthcare.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to drive improvement.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and project management skills.
