General Practitioner - Antenatal Clinics

About the Role

We seek to appoint enthusiastic GPs who would like to provide antenatal care within our team based model and build upon existing skills in a supportive multidisciplinary environment. We provide antenatal care within multidisciplinary teams comprising specialist obstetricians and trainees, midwives, obstetric physicians, endocrinologists, diabetic nurse educators and dietitians. Each team clinic occurs on a set day per week with a team lunchtime meeting which serves to support the multidisciplinary approach to care within a supportive environment.

For applicants who aim to obtain the certificate in Women’s Health we offer further supervision and support.

 

Desired attributes for this role:

  • Recent experience in the provision of routine antenatal care in hospital and/or extensive general practice shared maternity care experience
  • Experience in the support and supervision of Junior Medical Staff
  • Demonstrated ability to practice collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary health care team

 

Eligibility criteria:

Applicants will be asked to provide a cover letter highlighting all previous clinical experience in Women’s Health and their motivation to apply for this position. If there is a desire to obtain the certificate in Women’s Health it is important applicants explain what their future goals are. Positions will be awarded based on the information provided in the cover letter, a CV and an interview.
