About the role 

We are looking for an enthusiastic consultant geriatrician to join our growing team in a locum capacity.  When rostered, pro-rata contribution to an after-hours and weekend timetable is expected.  We are one of the largest geriatric medicine departments in Victoria, and cover a wide range of inpatient, outpatient, and community based geriatric medicine sub-specialities.

Key responsibilities: 

  1. Achieving excellence in provision of inpatient, outpatient and community based geriatric medicine care
  2. Contributing to supervision and training of advanced trainess, junior medical staff and medical students
  3. Contributing to fostering a quality and safety focused geraitric medicine unit

About you: 

Consultant Geriatrician with Fellowship of Royal Australasian College of Physicians and membership of Australian and New Zealand Society of Geriatric Medicine

Western Health also provides the primary healthcare service at the Dame Phyllis Frost Centre, a women’s prison located in Ravenhall.
