We are looking for an enthusiastic Geriatrician to join our growing team.


This position is fixed term for 12 months and will primarily involve providing consultant cover for an Acute Aged Care team.

 

The new consultant may also be required to join a roster rotation across inpatient, outpatient and community spaces and will be expected to participate in the on-call roster (including weekend recall).

 

The Geriatric Medicine Unit is operationally and professionally accountable to the Division and provide medical leadership in their area of specialty across the continuum of care. Services are provided across the following care settings:

  • Inpatient services include - Acute Aged Care, Orthogeriatrics, Cardiogeriatrics, Geriatric Evaluation and Management, Transition Care, SNAP.
  • Community services include - Aged Care Liaison, GEM@home, Community Geriatrics
  • Specialist Clinics include - Continence, Falls, CDAMS, Wound Management, and Movement Disorders.

The Unit has a strong focus on undergraduate and postgraduate education and promotes a close liaison with regional partners.
