About the role
Western Health has nearly 40 Hospital Medical (BPT1) Officer positions (PGY2/Medical) available for the 2026 Clinical Year.

Applications:

Western Health Basic Physician Training (BPT) positions are recruited as part of the PMCV Match. Applicants must apply to both PMCV and Western Health. Please note, PMCV eligibility criteria apply.

 

Please Note: if you are successful for a Basic Physician Trainee role, you will be required to enrol with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) by March 2026.

Western Health also provides the primary healthcare service at the Dame Phyllis Frost Centre, a women’s prison located in Ravenhall.
