About the role 

The Central Sterilisation Supply Department (CSSD) at Western Health is seeking a highly motivated and suitably qualified person to join our leadership team as a CSSD Instrument Technician Manager at Sunshine CSSD.

The CSSD Instrument Technician Manager’s role is pivotal in supporting the daily operation of the department.  This role is both a managerial and hands-on role.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Support and mange the team to ensure quality outcomes
  • Support the Sterilisation Services Manager 
  • Play a key role in education of staff
  • Support the auditing and quality processes in CSSD
  • Support and maintain the computerised tracking system with data entry

 

About you: 

  • Hold Certificate 4 in Sterilisation
  • Possess a relevant Post Graduate qualification or relevant clinical experience
  • Demonstrate effective management skills appropriate for a manager’s role
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills both written and verbal
  • Possess well developed interpersonal skills including conflict resolution strategies
  • Possess a knowledge of relevant standards, legislation, policies and human resource procedures
