The Central Sterilisation Supply Department (CSSD) at Western Health ,Footscray, is seeking a highly motivated and suitably qualified person to join our leadership team as a CSSD Instrument Technician Manager.

 

You will manage, support, and provide guidance to the Footscray CSSD team to ensure best practice and safe patient oucomes.

You will be supported in this role by the other ITM on site and report directly to the CSSd Manager and the Sterilisation Services Manager.

 

This is a full time,on-going position with rotational shifts. You may also be required to work at other campuses.

 

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Possess the relevant qualifications and have the relevant clinical experience

  • Demonstrate effective management skills appropriate for a manager’s role

  • Demonstrate effective communication skills both written and verbal

  • Possess well developed interpersonal skills including conflict resolution strategies

  • Possess a knowledge of relevant standards

  • Have a commitment to ongoing education and learning

  • Have a willingness to learn and support the team

  • Have good computer skills

  • Have a commitment to maintaining high quality standards to support safe patient care

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, able to multi task

  • Be innovative, resourceful and adaptable to change
