About the role

Western Health has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated pharmacist to join our pharmacy leadership team as a Grade 4 Lead Pharmacist – Cancer Services, Cardiology & Speciality Medicine. This position is permanent, full-time (80 hours per fortnight) and available now!

 

This is a dynamic clinical leadership opportunity for a pharmacist passionate about driving innovation, advancing clinical services and supporting best care across cancer, cardiology and speciality medicine streams. 

 

Key responsibilities:

  • High-quality, patient-centred safe and effective use of medicines across the division
  • Governance and guideline frameworks support best practice medication management
  • Team performance, education and development are actively supported through line management and mentorship
  • Pharmacy services within the division align with best practice clinical standards and Western Health’s strategic goals
  • Innovative service improvement and research are embedded into routine pharmacy practice
  • Collaborative engagement with multidisciplinary teams enhance continuity of care and clinical outcomes

 

About you:

  • Bring extensive clinical pharmacy experience, particularly in cardiology, cancer or specialty medicine
  • Demonstrate a track record of effective leadership, team performance development and change management
  • Have strong communication and stakeholder skills across multi-disciplinary teams
  • Be committed to mentoring others, leading continuous improvement and promoting a learning culture
  • Show initiative, strategic thinking and the ability to lead multidisciplinary projects and innovations.
