Western Health has an excellent opportunity for a Lead Pharmacist - Medication Safety. This position is permanent, full-time (80 hours per fortnight) and available now

 

We are seeking a passionate, highly motivated and experienced hospital pharmacist to provide leadership within the health service as a medication safety subject matter expert. You will work collaboratively with a broad range of stakeholders to co-ordinate the medication safety program for Western Health and seek opportunities to develop the skills of other staff members.

 

To be successful in this role you:

  • Hold at least 5 years’ broad experience in providing high quality pharmacy services across a range of specialties
  • Have demonstrated experience in identifying and leading medication safety improvement initiatives
  • Demonstrate strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Have highly developed verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrate an ability to determine workload priorities in order to complete tasks by the agreed timeline
