Western Health is seeking an enthusiastic and innovative Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon to join our dynamic Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Unit. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a growing service that is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care across Melbourne’s western region.
Key responsibilities:
As a Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon, you will:
- Provide expert clinical care to patients across Western Health’s campuses.
- Lead and supervise junior medical staff and registrars, fostering a culture of learning and excellence.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of Western Health’s strategic priorities, including service innovation, research, and education
About you:
You are a dedicated and forward-thinking clinician who:
- Holds Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (FRACDS) or equivalent specialist qualifications.
- Is registered (or eligible for registration) with AHPRA.
- Demonstrates a commitment to teaching, mentoring, and continuous professional development.
- Has excellent communication and leadership skills, with a collaborative approach to patient care.

Western Health also provides the primary healthcare service at the Dame Phyllis Frost Centre, a women’s prison located in Ravenhall.
