About the role:

Join our dynamic Medical Imaging team at the New Footscray Hospital, where you will play a key role in patient preparation and organisational support to deliver the highest quality care. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to new processes and collaborate with a dedicated team of Radiographers, Sonographers, Nurses, Medical staff, and Administrators.

 

As a Medical Imaging Assistant, you will assist in the coordination, scheduling, and preparation of patients for radiology exams, using your strong communication, organisational, and time management skills to ensure an efficient and seamless patient experience. You’ll also have the opportunity to rotate through Sunshine Hospital, expanding your knowledge and experience in different settings.

Key responsibilities: 

  • Coordinate and facilitate the transfers of patients both within the department and from the ward
  • Provide support to radiologists, radiographers, technologists, sonographers and nurses in the provision of Medical Imaging Services 
  • Assist with compliance for patient imaging, including correct identification, transfer requirements, patient prioritisation and Health and Safety standards
