Neurophysiology Scientist - Grade 1
Our Neurology department at Western Health is seeking an enthusiastic Neurophysiology Scientist – Grade 1.
The Neurophysiology scientist is at the forefront of daily clinical services such as EEG, Evoked Potential, NCS and LTM tests. The position requires cross campuses work to support the clinical needs of the department.
- Permanent part-time basis
- 24 hours per fortnight (Tuesday, Thursday and Friday)
- Combination of 8 hour and 4 hour shifts
- Working within a supportive team
Situated in the largest growth corridor in Melbourne, Western Health is growing to meet this demand. Plans are underway for a new Footscray Hospital which will be completed in 2025. Our department will be increasing in size and will present opportunities for scientists to grow professionally within the unit.
Essential Criteria:
- Will possess a relevant science degree (e.g., biomedical science)
- Need to maintain the highest skill set in terms of complex and specialised testing procedures
- Have well developed interpersonal skills, including effective written and verbal communication skills
- Have the ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team as well as autonomously
- Will support the operational needs of the unit, by performing extended or additional shifts to cover planned and unplanned leave
Desirable:
- Prior clinical experience in neurophysiology testing
