Nurse Practitioner - Diabetes
An exceptional opportunity has arisen within our Endocrinology and Diabetes team! We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic and collaborative team. In this pivotal role, you will contribute to delivering evidence-based, high-quality care to our patients.
In this role, you will:
- Enhance the routine management of patients with diabetes by focusing on medication titration, educating patients and caregivers about treatment options, and prioritising the prevention and management of complications.
- Participate in the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, prescribing, and ongoing review processes, aiming to deliver more frequent, timely, convenient, and locally accessible healthcare services.
- Work autonomously within the defined scope of practice.
- Commit to high-quality, safe and person-centred care.
To be successful, you will have:
- Current registration as a nurse with endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner in Australia.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Diabetes Nurse Educator/CNC.
- Proven commitment to the development of a learning, teaching and research-oriented work environment within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
- Membership of specific specialty association and/or nursing professional body relevant to diabetes nursing.
