The division of Cancer, Cardiology and Specialty Medicine are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team in the role of Nurse Unit Manager, Medical Ambulatory Day Unit (MADU). The position is permanent full-time.  

 

The MADU currently operates across both Sunshine & Footscray campuses providing same-day care to patients with chronic medical conditions. In collaboration with the responsible medical service, MADU offers a comprehensive suite of therapies such as blood transfusions, venesection, iron infusions, lumbar puncture, immunoglobin infusions, steroid infusions, haematology/oncology treatment and infliximab infusions.

 

The successful appplicant will be responsible for overseeing workforce management and development, unit capacity and access within the unit, maintaining a high standard of clinical care, and other operational and performance oversight across both Sunshine and Footscray campuses. They will be pivotal in the ongoing planning and preparation for the transition of the current Footscray department to New Footscray Hospital. 

 

To be Successful in this Role you will have:

  • Previous NUM/ANUM experience
  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse in Australia
  • Demonstrated excellent clinical and organisational skills
  • A passion for a fast paced environment
  • Experience and motivation for improvement and innovation
