Are you an experienced NUM ready to make a difference?

Western Health is seeking a dynamic and innovative leader to join the Planned Surgery Access team. As the NUM, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of planned surgery and procedures.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing the daily operations of the Planned Surgery Access unit, including patient scheduling, preparation, and optimisation.
  • Surgical preparation list management in adherence to the Planned Surgery Access Policy.
  • Leading and developing a team of dedicated nursing and administration professionals to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Collaborating with surgeons, anaesthetists, and other healthcare providers to ensure smooth patient pathways.
  • Implementing strategies to improve patient satisfaction, reduce wait times, and optimise resource utilisation.
  • Driving continuous quality improvement initiatives and adhering to clinical governance standards.
