Nurse Unit Manager - Planned Surgery Access

Western Health is seeking a dynamic and innovative leader to join the Planned Surgery Access team. As the NUM, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of planned surgery and procedures.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing the daily operations of the Planned Surgery Access unit, including patient scheduling, preparation, and optimisation.
- Surgical preparation list management in adherence to the Planned Surgery Access Policy.
- Leading and developing a team of dedicated nursing and administration professionals to provide high-quality patient care.
- Collaborating with surgeons, anaesthetists, and other healthcare providers to ensure smooth patient pathways.
- Implementing strategies to improve patient satisfaction, reduce wait times, and optimise resource utilisation.
- Driving continuous quality improvement initiatives and adhering to clinical governance standards.
