Occupational Therapist G2 Rehab at Home (Temporary)
An opportunity exists for an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist with rehabilitation skills to join our collaborative and dynamic Rehab at Home team. Rehab at Home operates within the Division of Western Health at Home. Rehab at Home is a subacute bed substitution program that provides intensive rehabilitation to patients discharged early from hospital. The program has recently expanded, and now accepts patients with non-neurological diagnoses where rehabilitation is indicated to support recovery.
The successful candidate will manage a complex mixed caseload of clients with neurological, orthopaedic and musculoskeletal conditions. The Occupational Therapist will work as part of a highly skilled and collaborative, interdisciplinary team.
TEMPORARY FULL TIME GRADE 2 UNTIL 30.06.2026
To be Successful in this Role you will have:
- Experience in assessing and treating clients with a variety of neurological, orthopaedic, and musculoskeletal conditions
- Experience working collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team
- Experience or ability to deliver patient care in the home, group therapy, centre-based, and telehealth (Health Direct platform) modalities
- Excellent organisation and time management skills
- Experience supervising Occupational Therapy students and/or Allied Health Assistant staff
- Demonstrated experience in Quality Improvement and/or research
