We work primarily with adults over the age of 65, many of whom are finding life challenging as they age. Being able to make a positive contribution to their experiences keeps us on our toes and ensures the working day is lively and interesting.

Our work is mostly outreach, seeing people in their own homes, mixed with outpatient reviews at the clinic. We are a team of clinicians invested in our work and in supporting each other to offer our best. We have a wide range of skills to offer and enjoy seeing what new staff can add to the team’s repertoire, particularly if that experience is different to ours.

 

To be Successful in this Role, you will have:

  • Capacity to work independently and autonomously with a holistic approach to healthcare
  • Skills or desire to develop skills in the assessment, monitoring, treatment and management of mental health, physical health and risk
  • Competency in documenting histories and researching unfamiliar areas
  • Ability to demonstrate sound clinical knowledge, clinical reasoning and excellent problem solving skills
  • A minimum of one year’s postgraduate work experience in mental health settings
