Occupational Therapist - Grade 2
An exciting opportunity currently exists for a Grade 2 Occupational Therapist to join the Western Health at Home Division in a Full time (80 hours/fortnight with ADO) permanent, ongoing capacity.
The Grade 2 Occupational Therapist, through their clinicial expertise, experience and skill, contributes to staff development and ensures excellence in patient management. Specifically, the Grade 2 will have a lead role in ensuring best practice and excellence in clinical care for patients, predominately in home-based settings. The role will be primarily provide clinical care to patients referred to the Rapid Allied Health and Community Transition Care Programs however opportunity may present to work across the other at home services including GEM at Home, Rehab at Home and in the Specialised Rehabiliation Program. The role will be primarily based from the Sunshine and Williamstown Western Health sites however may be required to work at other Western Health sites as delegated.
To be successful in the role you will have:
- An appropriate recognised tertiary qualification and Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as eligible to practice as an Occupational Therapist
- Experience/qualification in hospital and community based Occupational Therapy
- Highly developed interpersonal, written and electronic communication skills
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Experience in student supervision
- Knowledge of and participation in continuous quality improvement processes
- Commitment to continuing professional development
- Computer literacy
- A current Victorian drivers license
