Occupational Therapist - Grade 2

About the role
We have a permanent full time position available for an enthusiastic and motivated Grade 2 Occupational Therapist with an interest in providing comprehensive assessment and intervention to community based clients. Our team of Occupational Therapists fulfil a diverse number of roles. The team of community Occupational Therapists work across Bacchus Marsh, Melton and Caroline Springs Campuses to provide acute inpatient and home based community occupational therapy services.
As an Occupational Therapist, you will be working as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide clinical interventions that focus on optimising client function and independence within the home and community and supporting clients to achieve their individualised goals in the community. You will be well supported by an experienced Grade 3 Clinician Occupational Therapists with regular supervision and access to professional development opportunities.
Key responsibilities:
- Assessment and recommendations for equipment needs for clients to remain independent in their own homes
- Support the delivery of information around occupational therapy to group programs
- Support the delivery of care within the acute ward at Bacchus Marsh Hospital
- Provide clinical support to junior staff
About you:
- Will have experience working within community based settings
- Will have highly developed interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Will have a passion for delivering high quality care working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
