Western Health is recruiting for a Grade 3 Occupational Therapist for a temporary, part-time (0.5 FTE) position within the Joan Kirner Women's and Children's paediatric services. Our service provides assessment and care for inpatient- NICU services, and outpatient newborn, developmental and autism assessment clinics. 

 

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist to lead the occupational therapy stream in the autism assessment clinic. This clinic runs with a collaborative multidisciplinary team, including paediatricians and allied health. ADOS-2 training is preferential. This role also offers the opportunity to support the newborn services clinic and the developmental clinic, along with leading Occupational Therapy within the paediatric allied health team.

 

To be Successful in this Role, you will:

  • Be registered as an Occupational Therapist with AHPRA
  • Have a current Victorian Driver’s Licence
  • Have a current Employee status Working with Children Check
  • Have experience working with children and caregivers to support development and engagement in occupations
  • Demonstrate ommitment to providing occupation-based, client centred occupational therapy care
  • Have strong collaboration skills and experience working in multidisciplinary teams
  • Demonstrate a commitment to service improvement initiatives
