Role Summary: 

Operations Manager (Mental Health & Wellbeing Services (MHWS) Community Program)

  • Location: Multiple Western Health sites, including Sunshine Hospital
  • Employment Type: Full-Time, Ongoing
  • Salary: RPN Grade 6/Allied Chief Grade 5 + Superannuation + Salary Packaging

 

About the role:

The role is responsible for leading the MHWBS Community Mental Health programs across 3 teams servicing the growing population in Melbourne’s western suburbs.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Leading sustainable improvements that will enhance consumer experience and deliver Best Care
  • To ensure staff and clinical programs are compliant with the reporting requirements of the Mental Health and Wellbeing Act 2022
  • Responsible for achieving monthly reportable activity targets for teams reporting to the role. Where targets are not achieved the role is responsible for developing and implementing quality improvement activities to remediate results in a timely manner
  • Leadership and governance to ensure the delivery of quality clinical care is delivered within guidelines, policy and within scope of practice
  • Development of the Divisions culture the promotion of a positive workplace, ensuring a safe and positive workplace where staff can be their best

 

About you:

  • Five years’ experience at Program Management level of RPN 5/Allied Health Chief Grade 4 (Area Mental Health & Wellbeing Service)
  • Postgraduate qualification in management/ Health Care Management and/or working towards
  • Demonstrable experience in change management in a health setting

Western Health also provides the primary healthcare service at the Dame Phyllis Frost Centre, a women’s prison located in Ravenhall.
