Paediatric Allergist

• Location: Sunshine Hospital (and other sites as required)
• Employment Type: Part-Time (7.46 hours/fortnight), Fixed-Term (until January 2027)
• Salary: HN15-59 + Superannuation + Salary Packaging

About the role:

Western Health is seeking a Paediatric Allergist to join our Women’s and Children’s Services Division, for a fixed-term period covering leave. This specialist role is responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centred care to children with allergic and immunologic conditions, while supporting general paediatric services across the organisation. You will play a critical role in providing and growing the paediatric allergy services locally, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and contributing to education, service development, and clinical excellence. 

Key responsibilities:

• Provide outpatient paediatric allergy clinics, including assessment, diagnosis and management of allergic and immunologic conditions 
• Supervise and support junior medical staff, trainees, and multidisciplinary team members 
• Participate in service planning, quality improvement, teaching, and research activities 
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure continuity and best practice care 
• Contribute to clinical governance, protocol development, and safe patient care delivery 

About you:

• FRACP with specialist accreditation in Immunology and Allergy 
• Demonstrated clinical expertise in paediatric allergy 
• Experience supervising and teaching junior medical staff and working in multidisciplinary teams 
• Strong communication, organisational, and clinical decision-making skills 
• Commitment to continuous professional development and patient-centred care
