About the role:

Our Community Paediatric Service is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Paediatric Allied Health team in a full-time, permanent capacity. 

 

As a Paediatric Occupational Therapist, you will work within a multidisciplinary team, providing high-quality, evidence-based assessment and intervention to support children and their families. This role is family-centred, focusing on collaborative care that meets the unique needs of each child. You will contribute to a range of paediatric clincs and programs across Community Health and Melton Health, with opportunities to work in multidisciplinary clinics and share specialist knowledge to enhance clinical outcomes. Experience in Autism assessments will be highly regarded.

 

The position is primarily based at Western Healths Melton and Caroline Springs sites. You will play a key role in delivering responsive, coordinated care to children and families living in the Brimbank, Melton and Moorabool regions. 

 

Key responsibilities: 

  • Deliver high-quality, evidence-based paediatric occupational therapy services to meet the developmental needs of children and their families.
  • Undertake comprehensive assessments and develop individualised intervention plans in collaboration with families and the multidisciplinary team.
  • Work effectively within a multidisciplinary team to provide coordinated care and contribute to shared clinical decision-making.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation, reports, and data entry in accordance with organisational and funding requirements.
  • Participate in professional supervision, quality improvement initiatives, and ongoing professional development to ensure best practice standards

 

About you: 

  • Hold a tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy and current AHPRA registration
  • Previous experiecne working with children and families, including conducting assessments and delivering evidence based interventions.
  • Work effectively within a multidiscplinary team and engage families in care planning to achieve the best outcomes for children
