People and Culture Employee Relations Advisor

About the role
Western Health is seeking a motivated and capable Employee Relations Advisor to join our Employee Relations and Business Partnerships team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an emerging HR professional who is passionate about employee and industrial relations and looking to build strong foundational experience within a large, complex and values-driven public health service.
As the first point of contact for a wide range of People and Culture enquiries, the Employee Relations Advisor plays a critical role in supporting managers and employees across Western Health.
You will:

Provide timely and professional advice regarding workplace conditions, entitlements, policies and enterprise agreements via the dedicated Business Partner inbox.

Support the interpretation and application of modern awards, enterprise agreements and employment legislation

Assist in managing low-level workplace matters including absenteeism, performance concerns and initial grievance handling

Support employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, employment changes and separations
-
Maintain accurate employee records and manage the PCC Inbox with confidentiality and precision
-
Contribute to policy review and continuous improvement initiatives

Support manager capability through documentation, guidance materials and training participation
You will work closely with the broader People and Culture team, Payroll, Recruitment, Workforce Systems and key operational stakeholders.
Key responsibilities:

About you:

Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Law or related discipline

Strong interest in employee and industrial relations
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-
High attention to detail with strong administrative capability
-
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, complex environment
