About the role:

We are looking for a Grade 3 Physiotherapist with extensive experience in Advanced Practice Paediatric Orthopaedics to join our team casual capacity. Weekday work is available. 

 

The Advanced Practice Paediatric Orthopaedic stream includes Physiotherapy run clinics managing Developmental Hip Dysplasia (DDH), Congenital Foot anomalies (such as Talipes Equinovarus, or Vertical Talus) and an Orthopaedic Assessment Clinic. Previous experience and credentialling in one or more of these areas is essential.

 

Working in this position you will use your clinical expertise and evidence-based practice to deliver Best Care. The successful candidate with have exceptional communication and organisational skills. You will need to work autonomously, as well as collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities:

  • Running Advanced Practice Physiotherapy Clinics specialising in DDH, CTEV and/or Paediatric Orthopaedic Assessment
  • Autonomous practice, with ability to recognise and escalate patients requiring Orthopaedic medical input
  • Working collaboratively with families to promote engagement in care

 

About you: 

  • Have experience working as a credentialled Advanced Practice Paediatric Physiotherapist in either DDH, CTEV, and/or Paediatric Orthopaedic Assessment including radiological interpretation, differential diagnosis, clinical assessment, and management
  • Have completed relevant Advanced Paediatric Orthopaedic training such as SCiPOP and Ponseti courses (Highly desirable)
  • Demonstrate exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Work collaboratively with the Physiotherapy, Paediatric Orthopaedic/Neonatal and multidisciplinary teams
  • Ensure safe and high-quality patient care is delivered in line with Western Health values and policies
