Physiotherapist - Grade 3

About the role:
This Grade 3 Advanced Practice Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy position involves using your well consolidated skills and expertise to provide best care to the patients of the west, including assessment and management of musculoskeletal conditions, fracture management, radiological ordering and interpretation, and plastering and splinting. While preference is for clinicians with Advanced Practice experience, training may be considered for appropriate applicants looking to develop skills in Advanced Practice Physiotherapy through a structured training and credentialing program.

- Emergency Department
- Non Weight Bearing Coordinator
Our team of experienced Advanced Practice Physiotherapists, and supporting medical teams will help you to consolidate and progress your skill and knowledge base.
This position is supported by Grade 4 Physiotherapists, and Advanced Practice Physiotherapists have access to key resources for success, such as supervision, a structured training program and departmental and advanced practice specific professional development. You will be joining a team with a supportive culture, that is dedicated to excellent patient outcomes, evidence based practice and continuous improvement. There is also opportunity for Grade 3 staff to participate in supervision of postgraduate students.

Key responsibilities:
- Possess extensive, well-developed clinical experience including the assessment and management of acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions, radiology interpretation and acute injury management.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Work collaboratively with the Physiotherapy, speciality and multidisciplinary teams
- Ensure safe and high-quality patient care is delivered in line with Western Health values and Live Best Care framework
- Contribute to a culture that values ongoing learning and be part of a positive workplace
About you:
- More than 7 years’ clinical experience
- Completion of, or working toward, Masters of Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy (desirable)
- Previous Advanced Practice Musculoskeletal experience and credentialling (desirable)
