About the role

As a motivated Podiatrist, you will provide client focused assessment, diagnosis, treatment and management for Western Health Podiatry clients within our community outpatient services at Bacchus Marsh and Melton campuses.

 

 

The Podiatrist works as a part of the multidisciplinary team to provide support to a broad range of clients. You will have a varied caseload which will include high risk foot, nail surgeries, paediatric, biomechanical and general podiatry clients. You will be a part of a supportive team of Podiatrists, with regular supervision as well as monthly podiatry professional development meetings.

 

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Providing clinical podiatry services, including assessment, treatment, and management of acute, sub-acute, and chronic podiatric conditions.
  • Have a sound knowledge of various aspects of podiatry management including acute, sub-acute and chronic conditions.
  • Develop effective referral and service relationships, both formal and informal, with general practitioners, health and welfare agencies, discharge planners from acute hospitals and other relevant services
