Project Manager - Point Cook Community Hospital

About the role
We are seeking a talented, motivated capital works Project Manager to join our WH Capital Development team in the delivery and commissioning of the new Point Cook Community Hospital. This exciting opportunity is open to candidates with proven project management and delivery skills, and an education background in project management and/or construction related disciplines. Health and government related experience considered favourable.
As Project Manager, you'll play a crucial role as the responsible interface point of contact with external project leads, internal stakeholders, the project delivery team and oversee all WH procurements and co-ordination of WH activities during construction and commissioning.
This client side role is focused on delivering best care and great infrastructure outcomes for Western Health and suits a driven, enthusiastic candidate keen to work in collaborative team and contribute their skills in the successful establishment of a brand new community hospital health service at Point Cook.
Key responsibilities:
- Day to day lead point of contact for all WH interface activities
- Monitoring and reporting on program, budgets and risk status
- Leading the WH procurement activities and stakeholder co-ordination
- Support the development of plans for facility commissioning, handover and operation
- Support the Project Director and other team members.
About you:
- Able to understand and complete the technical requirements of the role, with a positive and proactive can-do attitude
- A qualification, experience or strong interest in healthcare design and construction related infrastructure
- Possess proven, compassionate and respectful approach to engagement which facilitates constructive and professional working relationships with all stakeholders involved in the project
- Possess demonstrable experience in a wide range of support functions including, project administration, FF&E specification and procurement, building ICT systems, monitoring and reporting progress updates, testing and commissioning of infrastructure and claims and acquittal processes.
