About the role:
Western Health is seeking a dynamic and analytical Project Officer/Data Analyst to support the operational readiness of our brand-new, state-of-the-art hospital.
As a key member of the NFH Project Operations Readiness Team, you’ll work across Health Support Services and Procurement & Supply Services to support Day 1 operations for the NFH. Using data to drive smart decisions, you’ll help ensure our new facility opens smoothly and safely.
This is a unique opportunity to be involved in hospital commissioning, data-driven planning, and service design—all in a role that directly impacts patient care and operational excellence.
What You’ll Do
- Analyse clinical, operational, and admin data to support transition and readiness planning
- Develop dashboards, visualisations, and reports that inform key decisions
- Work closely with clinical teams, support services, and senior leaders
- Translate data into actionable insights that improve services across Western Health
Who You’ll Work With
You’ll collaborate with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders—from hospital directors, clinicians, and operations managers to HealthShare Victoria and Plenary Health—playing a central role in one of the state’s most complex healthcare projects.
About You
You’re a problem-solver and team player with:
- Experience in data analytics, project coordination or health service planning
- Skills in Microsoft Excel and Power BI
- A knack for turning complex data into clear, actionable insights
- Confidence to work in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment
Highly Desirable:
- Degree in Health Information Management, Public Health, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field
- Have worked in a public health or clinical setting
- Understand data management best practices
